Your Tasks
- You’ll build, lead and mentor an experienced, multi-national team of 9 product and visual design professionals
- You’ll drive the internal understanding of how UX/UI and Visual Design impacts our customers
- You’ll help develop the Spreadshirt Brand portfolio and establish a clear connection between product design and visual design
- You’ll employ, enhance and evangelise our design process
- You’ll collaborate and interact with C-Levels, Directors, Product Owners and Marketing teams across the organization
- You’ll coach and guide the team into delivering design solutions across 9 agile product teams and 5 businesses
- You’ll employ Design Thinking, workshop techniques and visualization skills to influence strategy and decision making across the organization
Your Profile
- 3+ years managing and leading a UX/UI design team
- Excellent interaction and visual design skills
- Proven experience of coupling a customer-centric mindset with business goals
- You have developed a visionary product concept and seen it through to implementation in an agile environment
- Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions
- Pragmatic approach in developing design ideas with teams of Designers, Business Leaders and Engineers
- University Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field or equivalent work experience (we know that designers have all kinds of interesting backgrounds)
- 8+ years working in a web design environment, 3+ years of those working in product design
- An outstanding portfolio showcasing foundation in typography, interaction and visual design
- Strong commercial focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
